Born on 7 August 1964, Secretary Braganza is one of the youngest members of the Cabinet.
Sec. Braganza took his primary education at the Alaminos Central School before
transferring to Claret School of Quezon City where he also took his secondary education.
He went to De La Salle University (DLSU) in college where he graduated with a degree in AB
History-Political Science in 1984.
Sec. Braganza started his career in politics as a municipal councilor of Alaminos,
Pangasinan in 1988. Subsequently, he was Consultant for Political Affairs under
Vice-Governor Ranjit Shahani. Eventually, he won a seat in Congress as Representative of
the 1st District of Pangasinan.
Actually, however, even during his student days at DLSU he was already very much involved
in campus politics serving as President of the DLSU Student Council and National Chairman
of the National Union of Students of the Philippines.
Sec. Braganza is married and has two children. |
