President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo addresses the members of the Filipino community in Malaysia whom she met Sunday evening (Dec. 11) at the Saloma Theater and Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. The President lauded the Filipino community for their unity and for their great contributions to the promotion of the interests of the Philippines and the Filipinos in Malaysia. She told them their dollar remittances have helped stabilize the Philippine economy and keep the peso stronger. The President is currently in Kuala Lumpur to participate in the 11th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, the First East Asia Summit and other related summits.
